Cleveland City Council agrees to court order prohibiting it from enforcing most public comment rules

Cleveland SceneAndrew Geronimo, the director of the First Amendment Clinic at the School of Law, discussed Cleveland City Council’s prohibition of enforcing most of its original public comment policies under a temporary restraining order. The law school filed a federal lawsuit against the council last month contending it violated a resident’s First Amendment rights by cutting off his microphone during a September meeting.
