CBS NewsAnat Alon-Beck, associate professor of law, weighed in on the 25-year sentence handed down to Sam Bankman-Fried, convicted in November of seven counts of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering, along with other charges of conspiracy to commit commodities and securities fraud—the largest fraud case in U.S. history. “I realized right away that this time—and this crime—was different, that the judge was actually going to hold him accountable for his actions,” she said.
