SEC accepts that it seeks more jurisdictions over the crypto industry

The Coin RepublicAnat Alon-Beck, assistant professor of law, discussed a pending court case that has implications about how much authority the Securities and Exchange Commission has over regulating the $2.2 trillion crypto market. “The Ripple case is very important, especially when many scholars, including myself, are concerned about the fact that many innovations in this space are happening outside the U.S, where companies and their founders are concerned about regulations,” she said. “There is a clear lack of regulatory clarity.”
