Texas sends migrants to vice-president’s Washington residence
BBC: Aleksander Cuic, director of the Immigration Clinic at the School of Law, said that while he believes Texas’s efforts to relocate migrants in any potentially politically motivated manner may be scrutinized in court, it is still unclear which—if any—laws may have been broken. “The big question is what they are being told, and if there is any sort of fraud or inducement,” Cuic said. “But how would anyone know if there’s nothing in writing? It could be that they (the migrants) are willingly saying they’ll go if there are jobs and opportunities.”
