Wall Street Journal: A graffiti artist in Detroit alleged that a European fashion designer used his work without consent for a Katy Perry dress. Aaron Perzanowski, associate professor of law, explained how copyright laws could be extended to graffiti, especially because the building’s owner commissioned the artist’s work. “At that point, it becomes pretty much your typical copyright case,” he said.
