Lawrence Ross: “Blackballed” lecture

ACES and Interfraternity Congress/Panhellenic Council will host national best-seller and renowned speaker Lawrence Ross to speak on college campus climate and racism Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. EST via Zoom.

Open to all members of the Case Western Reserve University community, Ross will present “Blackballed.”

Based on his most recent book, Blackballed: The Black and White Politics of Race on America’s Campuses, Ross speaks on racial microaggressions and the hostile environments impacting students of color. Ross’ lecture will entertain and educate, aiming not to develop non-racists, but ANTI-racists.

Ross, a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, gives an insight to racism and hazing in Greek life in his book The Divine Nine: The History of African American Fraternities and Sororities
