Nora Krinitsky, a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of History, specializes in African-American history, urban history and the history of the carceral state. During the next Department of History Fall 2017 Lunchbox Seminar, she will provide an overview of her research as well as a discussion of the article she is completing this year, which examines the Chicago NAACP’s legal work against police violence.
Her talk, titled “Lawlessness in Law Enforcement: Police Violence and Chicago NAACP Campaign Against Brutality,” will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 11:25 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Mather House, Room 100.
