Cuyahoga County Council OKs absentee ballot mailing; Husted drops plan to block ballot applications
The Plain Dealer: Secretary of State Jon Husted dropped his proposal to block absentee voting by using ballot applications sent at the taxpayers’ expense in Cuyahoga County. Husted said all voters should be treated the same, regardless of what county they live in. However, that argument might not stand up in court. “I’m skeptical that it is necessary to have a uniform rule on something like sending applications for absentee ballots,” said School of Law professor Jonathan Entin.
