Law review’s annual symposium to tackle law, policy issues surrounding fracking

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Nov. 16, the Case Western Reserve Law Review will present its annual symposium. This year’s topic is “The Law and Policy of Hydraulic Fracturing: Addressing the Issues of the Natural Gas Boom.”

Symposium speakers will discuss issues ranging from the division of regulative authority over hydraulic fracturing to the impact of hydraulic fracturing on the energy economy.

Thomas W. Merrill, the Columbia University Charles Evan Hughes Professor of Law, will deliver the keynote address, “Fear of Fracking,” while Case Western Reserve professors Jonathan H. Adler, Noah Hall and Jessie Hill will moderate panel discussions.
