Obesity in the U.S. is rising, and aside from concerns about health, worries about the costs of treatment have policy makers interested in how the government can reduce obesity.
At this week’s Public Affairs Discussion Group, Jessica Berg, professor of law and bioethics, will discuss what governments can actually do in her talk “Can We Legislate Ourselves Thinner?”
The discussion will be held Feb. 10 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Dampeer Room at Kelvin Smith Library.
