Law Professor Sharona Hoffman presents on big data, has book accepted for publication

Sharona HoffmanPraeger Publishers accepted a book manuscript by Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law, professor of bioethics and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, titled Aging with A Plan: How a Little Thought Today Can Vastly Improve Your Tomorrow.

In addition, she presented at three conferences in October. At the Public Health Law Conference in Atlanta, she presented “The Promise and Pitfalls of Electronic Health Record Big Data.” At an invitation-only workshop at Johns Hopkins University, she discussed “Foundation of Digital Records in Medicine and Law: Reliability and Authenticity.” Finally, she presented at Washington, D.C.’s Data and Society Research Institute at an invitation-only conferenced, titled “Data and Civil Rights.”
