Petersilge Professor of Law and director of the Law-Medicine Center, discussed the impasse between Ebola quarantines and the law. “I would expect the courts to be quite deferential to the expertise of public health officials; however, as long as their actions have a reasonable scientific basis, I would be surprised if the courts struck them down,” he said.
