Coronavirus: Ohio Supreme Court moving to rule quickly on primary election dispute

Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law and adjunct professor of political science in the College of Arts and Sciences, noted that while the state’s public health director has the power to cancel the March 17 primary election, due to coronavirus fears, it’s unlikely that Ohio’s secretary of state has the statutory power to set a new election date.
