Latino Graduation will be held Saturday, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Thwing Center ballroom.
The tradition of Latino Graduation at Case Western Reserve University began in 2016 as a celebration of graduating students who identify as Latina/o, Latinx, or Hispanic to celebrate and recognize their collective struggle to graduate college, as many may be the first to do so in their families.
The ceremony was created to center around traditions, languages, food, and most importantly, families.
