The holiday season is a time when many families and friends gather for long-held traditions. Here at Case Western Reserve University, we have many winter traditions of our own—both past and present. Throughout December, we will highlight a few the university has celebrated throughout the year.
As finals approach, students at Case Western Reserve University will hit the books to prepare. But before they complete their first final, they’ll take a collective break at the Thwing Study Over. This long-standing campus tradition—held twice a year before finals begin in the fall and spring—features food from student favorites like Cheesecake Factory, Cinnaholic and Bombay Chaat.
There also will be an espresso bar, massages and more.
Each year, a small team of students is tasked with planning the event, with four subcommittees to tackle different aspect of the event: food, entertainment, student organizations/logistics and PR/marketing.
This year, students will unwind Sunday, Dec. 9, from 7 to 11 p.m. in the Thwing Center.
