Retirement might be far away for many, but it’s never too early to start planning and preparing. Saving and investing now can lead to financial security and a payoff in the future.
On Sept. 10 and 11, retirement vendor TIAA-CREF will come to Case Western Reserve University to provide free workshops to staff and faculty as a part of the university’s Financial Essentials education.
The workshop schedule and registration are available online. Registration is also available by calling 800.732.8353.
The following workshops will be held:
Online Tools: Connect to financial clarity
This session will demonstrate how to use online tools to help maintain and plan for future finances and create a financial roadmap. Find out your investment style and get a portfolio suggestion, or track your retirement path, project the results, and get an actionable plan to help it work even better.
Halfway There: A retirement checkpoint
This session provides a mid-year financial checkup that allows you to evaluate current savings, formulate a plan to reach your savings goals and determine how to manage what might be competing with retirement savings, such as college savings, short-term savings and so on.
Within Reach: Transitioning from career to retirement
This session demonstrates how to prepare for retirement and offers checklists to help plan for the first day of retirement. As an attendee, you can evaluate where you are now and plan your retirement story, accounting for Social Security, taxes, health care, insurance and estate planning.
Refreshments will be provided at each of the three sessions.
Seating is limited, so register online to reserve a spot. Contact TIAA-CREF at 800.732.8353 with questions.
