Ever thought about writing a novel? November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30.
Cedar Residential College and the Writing Resource Center will hold a NaNoWriMo kick-off event today (Nov. 2) from noon to 3 p.m. in Bellflower Hall.
From from noon to 12:30 p.m., novelist Lance Parkin will talk about how to start a novel. The remaining time will be set aside for writing and community discussion.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptop so they can get started on the writing process.
Pizza and beverages will be available.
