Kelvin Smith Library to hold rededication ceremony for Freedman Center April 7

Kelvin Smith Library will celebrate the newly redesigned Freedman Center Thursday, April 7, at 11 a.m. with remarks by President Barbara R. Snyder and other guest speakers, followed by a light lunch reception. All Case Western Reserve University students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.

The Freedman Center, which opened in 2005, first combined the knowledge and experience of a dedicated staff with state-of-the-art equipment to offer students, faculty and alumni the ability to harness the power of modern technology for digital scholarship. Recently, the space has expanded to include the Collaboration Commons, a workspace area offering fully mobile technology, walls, whiteboards, tables and seating options. The next phase of expansion will include the ability to reserve space in the Freedman Center for each specific group’s size and needs.
