The Kelvin Smith Library continues to adapt its resources for the Case Western Reserve University community in response to the changes caused by COVID-19. Working closely with publishers and nonprofit information providers, the library is able to significantly increase access to electronic content and has also expanded the hours experts are available to provide research assistance through chat, email, phone and Zoom.
Expanded access to content
The library has an updated list of the digital resources available to the CWRU community. Users who are unfamiliar with the library’s online collections and resources can access a directional guide to find text-based instructions, short videos and interactive tutorials for help with searching library collections and guidance on organizing projects and papers using library resources.
Research assistance
Students, faculty and staff are also welcome to request an appointment with Research Services and Freedman Center staff by completing an online form. Their hours have been extended to provide as much support as possible:
- Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday, 2-5 p.m.
As COVID-19 continues to change the way the library provides resources, updates will posted on the library website.
