Keep your projects going remotely with OSF

During the exceptional and challenging circumstances gripping the current research community, it has become more important than ever to have reliable, easy access to datasets and research materials. The Open Science Framework (OSF) is a data storage, sharing and project collaboration tool available to all Case Western Reserve University community members who want to keep researching and collaborating remotely. Upload your data, share your files, and connect to your Box and Drive accounts to seamlessly access all your or your team’s digital research materials.

CWRU’s institutional OSF account provides a landing page where research projects associated with the university can be easily explored and discovered. To further amplify research visibility, users can generate DOIs, short URLs and bibliographic citations for any files or project components on OSF. Every member of the CWRU community with a case.edu email address has access to OSF through Single Sign-On and can store their files on the OSF platform at no charge. There is no limit to the amount of data that can be stored with OSF. Sign into OSF.

OSF conveniently integrates with Google Drive, Box, Github, OneDrive, Zotero, etc., allowing users to connect to external platforms like Drive and Box and easily drag and drop files between various storage platforms, all in one place. With OSF, all the contributors to a research project can have quick access to all the relevant files in one location, regardless of what platform on which they are stored.

For more information about data storage, project collaboration or establishing an OSF account, refer to Kelvin Smith Library’s OSF Research Guide.
