Politico: The Supreme Court’s ruling on the Affordable Care Act could lead to a series of legal battles over the strings attached to federal grants for everything from transportation to the environment. For example, when it comes to federal money being withheld from a state because of air pollution, the ruling “certainly strengthens the states’ argument that, hey, this isn’t what we signed up for,” said Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law.
