Join third-year MFA students for tribute to Edgar Allan Poe

FOETS_FundraiserThe Friends of Eldred Theater will host a fundraising event, “An Evening of Mystery and Music.” The evening, a tribute to Edgar Allan Poe, will feature readings of Poe’s work as well as songs relevant to the theme.

The event, which will take place on Monday, Nov. 4, at Nighttown (12387 Cedar Road), will feature the third-year class of the Case Western Reserve/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting program: Therese Anderberg, Bernard Bygott, Drew Derek, TJ Gainley, Sarah Kinsey, Christa Meyers and Stephen Michael Spencer.

The evening will be directed by the acting program’s director, Ron Wilson, and musical direction will be by Brian Cluff, who has composed original incidental music to complement the readings.

The Friends of Eldred Theater is a longtime support organization for the theater department at Case Western Reserve University and has been instrumental in providing funds for students, both graduate and undergraduate, to continue studies in areas and disciplines that they are interested in. Recent bursaries allowed students to study voice-over technique, audio-book recording, stunt work and acrobatics, singing and the Michael Chekhov Technique.
