Join “Day of Action” march for health care system reform

A National Event For Equitable Healthcare System: Evening March for Justice and Candle Light Vigil flyerMany Case Western Reserve University organizations will join more than 25 medical schools across the country in a Day of Action to remember the millions of people in the United States who are uninsured, underinsured and underserved by the current health care system. The Case Western Reserve University chapter of Students for a National Health Program, the American Medical Student Association, WhiteCoats4BlackLives, the Latino Medical Student Association, Universities Allied for Essential Medicine and Pre-Health Dreamers will collaborate to hold a march and candlelight vigil.

The event also will underscore the need, organizers say, for more fundamental health reform—a nonprofit, publicly financed, single-payer health system.

The march will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. starting outside the School of Medicine and ending in front of Kelvin Smith Library.
