Join CWRU’s NAACP chapter

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to join CWRU’s National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) chapter to promote progress and community engagement.

Janice A. Eatman Williams, director of school and community-based outreach, and Edwin Mayers, director of First-Year Experience and Family Programs, lead the chapter. The chapter’s aim is to foster inclusive education and active community engagement to achieve equality and justice.

An inauguration ceremony for the chapter was held last month featuring a keynote address from Julian Rogers, assistant vice president of local government and community relations, and an introduction from founding member Nachiket Rajinikanth.

Members of the community are encouraged to contribute to the cause, whether their interests are in education, community outreach, voter advocacy, or any area in which they feel they can make a difference.

Those who would like to get involved can reach out to Rajinikanth at nxr395@case.edu or Eatman-Williams at jae@case.edu.
