The Jewish Standard: Alanna Cooper, the Abba Hillel Silver Chair of Jewish Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences, discussed her 2012 book, Bukharan Jews and the Dynamics of Global Judaism, examining “one of the longest diasporas as it came to an end,” Cooper said. “It was a difficult and traumatic change.”
