The 2017 edition of Italian Film Festival USA will come to Cleveland April 10-21, with Case Western Reserve University’s Strosacker Auditorium as one of the venues.
CWRU will hold showings at 7 p.m. on the following dates:
- Monday, April 10;
- Wednesday, April 12;
- Monday, April 17; and
- Wednesday, April 19.
The Cuyahoga Community College Metro Campus will host a double feature for closing night Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at the campus’ Black Box Theatre.
This is the 10th year the festival will be held at CWRU.
Italian film director Alessia Scarso will attend the April 12 showing for the Cleveland premiere of her 2014 film, Italo, with Q&A following the screening. She also will visit classes at both CWRU and Tri-C.
The local sponsor of the festival is the Cleveland Humanities Collaborative. CWRU Film Society is collaborating with the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures program in Italian for the 10th year.
This is the second year Case Western Reserve and the media arts and filmmaking at Cuyahoga Community College will collaborate on the festival.
