Parent and Family Educational Sessions
Staff from across campus will come together to provide some creative topical sessions that showcase strategies that will help families to support students as they explore their academics, future career and relationship with their family.
These sessions will give families an opportunity to connect with the Office of First-Year Experience and Family Programs, SAGES, the Career Center, the Office of Education Abroad, Office of Undergraduate Studies, Student Activities and Leadership Office and many more groups across campus who work to support students as they live and learn at CWRU.
Showcase of Stars
Families also can see the performing arts talent of undergraduate student groups Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom. From tap dancing to bhangra and a capella to musical theater, “Showcase of Stars” demonstrates the broad diversity of student groups at CWRU.
The evening’s performances will include snippets of the CWRU Footlighters’ fall musical First Date and the award-winning sounds of the South Asian/American Fusion a capella group Dhamakapella, as they perform music from their new studio album.
The Office of First-Year Experience and Family Programs will host a dessert reception before the program, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Tink. Students are encouraged to invite their family to join to the event highlighting the talents of their friends and classmates.
Register online at case.edu/alumni/homecoming/ for these and other homecoming events.
