The Global Ethical Leaders Society will host a panel discussion titled “Intersections in Clinical Ethics: Nursing, Law and Liability?” Monday, Nov. 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom A.
The speakers will be:
- Georgina Morley, a nurse ethicist and director of the Nursing Ethics Program at Cleveland Clinic;
- Ben Schwan, instructor in the Department of Bioethics at Case Western Reserve University and a clinical ethics consultant for The MetroHealth System; and
- Olubukunola Dwyer, a clinical ethicist and director of the clinical ethics program at University Hospitals.
The speakers will discuss their backgrounds, past experiences and expertise regarding clinical ethics. The discussion will cover a variety of issues regarding the current and future ethical considerations in medicine, patient care, and other clinical settings. The event also will include a Q&A session with audience members.
