International graduate students: Improve spoken English with fall seminar

Educational Services for Students (ESS) will offer a fee-based Spoken English Seminar for international graduate students this fall. Students will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive and engaging seminar to improve their spoken English skills.

The five-week, 10-hour seminar will begin during the week of Oct. 19. The class will meet Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m.

The following topics will be addressed during the seminar:

  • Listening Skills
  • Pronunciation
  • Presentation Skills
  • Vocabulary
  • Culture
  • Idioms

The seminar will allow for small and large group discussion.

To register and pay the seminar fee, visit ESS in Sears Hall, Room 470. Students should register by Oct. 16 to guarantee a spot in the program.
