Join Interim President Scott Cowen virtually at noon, Monday, March 29, when he announces the faculty and staff selected as Case Western Reserve’s COVID-19 Champions.
Earlier in March Interim President Cowen announced that the community’s contributions this academic year had been so significant that the traditional Employee Appreciation week was too brief a time to celebrate faculty and staff. Instead, he extended it for the entire month, and asked people to nominate faculty and staff whose extraordinary efforts amid the pandemic merited special recognition.
The contest attracted 99 submissions, and the number and nature of individual efforts were so impressive that the university expanded the number of recipients. Four individuals will receive runner-up awards, and another four will be named COVID-19 Champions.
Join the virtual session by registering no later than 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Also, don’t forget tomorrow’s virtual Coffee and Connection, organized by the Office of Human Resources. Gather with colleagues from across campus and take the opportunity to express appreciation to people with whom you regularly interact—as well as others who may have assisted one way or another during the pandemic. Get more information and register.
Finally, the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is sponsoring a Virtual Treasure Hunt for university staff. With 10 prizes drawn at random from those who answer all questions correctly by 5 p.m. March 31. Access the questions.
