Case Western Reserve University’s Interactive Commons (IC) invites all members of the campus community to the IC Fellows Showcase Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Thwing Center, LL50.
The event is free and will include demonstrations of five different applications as well as an introduction to CWRUXR (pronounced “Cruiser”), a new platform that allows users to rapidly prototype in 3D with no-code and low-code interfaces.
The IC Fellows Cohort 2024 members include:
- Daniel Goldmark (music, College of Arts and Sciences);
- Divita Mathur (chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences);
- Katie Nabors (nutrition, School of Medicine; dance, College of Arts and Sciences);
- Mindy Baierl (Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship; Weatherhead School of Management); and
- Philip A. Cola, PhD (design and innovation and organizational behavior, Weatherhead School of Management).
Flick through centuries of music cover art to see the patterns. Feel the difference between right- and left-handed helices. Cook a healthy meal in a no-waste virtual kitchen. Explore your professional network on foot. Level up your public speaking game.
The IC Fellows Cohort started in 2021 with support from the Office of the Provost in an effort to expand access to XR educational programming across the university. The instructors in the IC Fellows Cohort have become fluent in the best practices of employing XR as a teaching tool while working with the IC team to design, build and execute customized applications for their courses.
