The Institute for Functional Restoration recently received the 2018 Gold Electrode Award from Neurotech Reports for being the most valuable nonprofit.
The award was presented at the 2018 Neurotech Leaders Forum in San Francisco.
The Institute for Functional Restoration’s mission is to restore function to people with paralysis by creating a sustainable commercial enterprise for neuromodulation systems.
Hunter Peckham, Distinguished University Professor and the Donnell Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Orthopaedics, is the founder of the institute. Megan Moynahan is the institute’s executive director.
