Following this year’s Innovation Week theme, “Failure and Persistence in Innovation,” CWRU wants to celebrate the unintended advances that our researchers have made through their persistent research efforts.
As a part of Innovation Week 2024, all are invited to the SEEK (Serendipitous Epiphany through Efforts to gain Knowledge) Contest Oct. 30 from noon to 2:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
During this event, up to four finalists will present their unexpected research results and the audience will vote for a winner. A historical account of Michelson Morley (who had unexpected results) will be shared by Phil Taylor, emeritus professor of physics.
The SEEK award will be presented at 2 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom. The winner will receive a $1,000 award.
Register for the event on Oct. 30.
