Innovation Week: Poster Pitch Contest

Get ready for Innovation Week’s student/postdoc Poster Pitch Contest—with 10 prizes of $1,000 available. The contest will take place Friday, Sept. 29, but contestants are encouraged to attend a preparation session Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. in Sears think[box].

Preparing for the Innovation Week Poster Pitch Contest

All students and postdocs are welcome to attend this session to learn how to develop a two-minute poster pitch for a broad audience. Steve Fening, Case Western Reserve University Associate Vice President for Research and Managing Director of the Case-Coulter Translational Research Partnership, will share the essential elements to creating a concise pitch and will emphasize a conversational, jargon-free approach.

Students and postdocs should apply these skills when they present their research at the Innovation Week Poster Pitch Contest.

RSVP for the preparation session.

Lunch and Poster Pitch Contest

Then, on Friday, Sept. 29, from noon to 3 p.m., students and postdocs are invited to present their two-minute presentations to showcase their innovation and research! Ten $1,000 awards will be given to the top 10 presenters! All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend and hear these pitches.

Lunch will be provided.

RSVP to the lunch and poster pitch contest.
