Several Case Western Reserve University faculty members will continue Innovation Week Sept. 14 with a discussion on the importance of engaging with an emerging campus chapter of inventors that supports faculty, student and postdoctoral trainees.
The panel discussion will feature:
- Susann Brady-Kalnay, professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Microbiology;
- Umut Gurkan, the the Warren E. Rupp Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering;
- Zhen-Rong Lu, professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering;
- Paul Tesar, the Dr. Donald and Ruth Weber Goodman Professor of Innovative Therapeutics in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences; and
- P. Hunter Peckham, Distinguished University Professor Emeritus and Donnell Institute Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
School of Medicine Dean Stan Gerson will deliver opening remarks and Chief Innovation Officer Joe Jankowski will moderate the panel discussion.
A free lunch with a create-your-own curry bowl and dessert are will be included (vegan options available), beginning at 12:30 p.m. The discussion will begin at 1 p.m.
