New undergraduate students are encouraged to attend events geared toward their field of study during New Student Orientation this week. The College of Arts and Sciences, Case School of Engineering, Weatherhead School of Management and the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing will all hold events to welcome students to their programs and get to know their classmates.
The College of Arts and Sciences will hold a College Welcome on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., at Kelvin Smith Library Oval. Students can meet faculty and fellow students from the college and discover the many activities that enrich campus life outside the classroom. The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing will hold a Prepare to Care Series on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 2 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 21, from 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 23, from 7:45 to 9:45 a.m., at the Wolstein Research Building. The sessions are required for new nursing major students and will focus on completion of clinical agency requirements with an emphasis on American Heart Association, Basic Life Support Course for Health Care Providers.
