IMPROVment takes first place at Student Organization Spirit Day

The first Student Organization Spirit Day competition took place March 22. IMPROVment, an improv comedy group, took first place after a dramatic tiebreaker: a hula-hoop relay.

The spirit day encouraged campus organizations to take part in competitive, spirited activities—from three-legged races to egg hunts, trivia competitions to parachute-drop contests.

IMPROVment, the winning group, celebrates its 10th anniversary at Case Western Reserve University this year. The group recently hosted the second annual Lake Effect improv comedy festival, which featured comedy groups from Chicago, Cleveland, Oberlin College, Ohio State University and Ohio University. The event, organized by the Student Leadership Journey Council, was sponsored by Undergraduate Student Government, University Program Board, Class Officer Collective and the Residence Hall Association.
