Improv for Anxiety and Depression

Researchers at Case Western Reserve University are looking for teens ages 8-17 who struggle with anxiety in social situations, constant worries, and/or depression to participate in a study.

This study will utilize improv, the theatrical art of performance and storytelling without a script. Participants will engage in 9 weeks of guided improv plus evidence-based techniques to reduce anxiety and depression. Each teen and their respective parent/guardian will also be asked to complete a survey and an interview at the beginning and end of the study. Each family will be paid for their time.
