IMPACT Solutions offers 24/7 mental health chatbot

IMPACT Solutions, Case Western Reserve University’s employee assistance program is offering Tess, a 24/7 mental health chatbot that coaches people through tough times by providing on-demand emotional support to help manage stress, stay balanced and be resilient. Just like conversations with a health care professional, Tess is secure and confidential; no one from the university will ever access your information.

Tess is available when you log in to your Impact Solutions account. In the right-hand margin of the home page, under My Benefits, the “24/7 Wellness Chat with Tess?” option appears. Immediately underneath the “START A CHAT WITH TESS” option, a small video box contains several video demonstrations explaining how Tess works. You can expand the video to full screen and cycle through the presentations. 

To set up an Impact Solutions account, follow the following steps:

  1. Go to myimpactsolution.com
  2. On the top right, click “Member Portal & App”, on the right side, click “Sign Up” to create a new account with the company code
  3. Enter CWRU’s company code— CWRUEAP—and click “Next”
  4. Enter your CWRU email address and click “Next”
  5. Create a username. It is not the same as your email address, however, you may use your network ID as your username. Then, click “Submit”
  6. Check your email for a message from info@mylifeexpert.com. Enter the 5-character code from the email in the box. Then, click “Verify Your Code”
  7. Create a password. Password must be at least 8 characters and can be any combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Enter your password again in the “Repeat Password” field and click “Submit”
  8. You will be directed to a log-in page. Log in using your username and password.
