Join the Weatherhead School of Management’s economics department for the annual Howard T. McMyler Memorial Lecture Thursday, Oct. 18, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom C.
Hilary Hoynes, the Haas Distinguished Chair in Economic Disparities at the University of California, Berkeley, will be this year’s guest speaker.
Hoynes will discuss how America’s policy commitment toward the welfare of children has evolved over time. She also will discuss her perspective on the question: How well are children served by the various efforts that exist like the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit?
She also will address how we might do better.
