How your voice can help fuel student scholarships and more on Day of Giving

When considering how to get involved in the Case Western Reserve University’s 13th annual Day of Giving on Tuesday, April 8, members of the community often think making a gift is the only way to make an impact. And while monetary support of any amount is critical, there are multiple other ways members of the CWRU community—especially students—can get involved as the university aims to reach its 2,025-donor goal to support student scholarships and meaningful campus causes.

Become an advocate

Being a Day of Giving Advocate helps generate support for causes that mean the most to each individual.

To become an advocate, first, register on the Day of Giving website, and share a school or organization’s button through the campaign page; this generates a unique link that allows advocates to track their impact! Whether they spread the word about Day of Giving through email, text or social media, this advocacy goes a long way for students.

Join us in person

Those on campus on Day of Giving are invited to join the Annual Giving team from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tinkham Veale University Center for CWRU swag and photo opportunities. Annual Giving team members will also be at the Health Education Campus from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to rally even more support. Snap a picture at either event and share it on social media with the #CWRUGives hashtag to inspire others to give!

Make a quick video

Advocacy can go even further when individuals make a 15- to 30-second personal video to get the word out about their favorite causes and join the Day of Giving movement! To get started, visit the advocacy dashboard at the bottom of the campaign page. Participants can even encourage others to give by offering matching gifts and challenges.

Make a gift

Those who want to expand their impact even more are encouraged to make a gift to the Day of Giving campaign. Gifts of any size can be made early—including today.Questions? Contact the Office of Annual Giving at giving@case.edu.
