“How Work Factors and Exposure to Trauma Influences Burnout in Higher Education Professionals”

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to a research talk on the topic of trauma and higher education professionals today (March 8) from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Mandel School Noble Commons. 

Jody Kunk-Czaplicki, a postdoctoral scholar with the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, will present “How Work Factors and Exposure to Trauma Influences Burnout in Higher Education Professionals,” focusing on the relationship between job demands, job resources, and exposure to trauma on burnout. Kunk-Czaplicki will present her research of the first national study that investigated burnout from an organizational lens in helping professionals.

Jimmy John’s sandwiches, lemonade and iced tea will be provided at this event.

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Center on Trauma and Adversity at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences will co-sponsor this event.
