Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to join the PhD in Bioethics program for a virtual discussion Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m.
During “How to Find your Niche in Bioethics: Learn About Our Expertise,” Marsha Michie, co-director of the PhD program, will explore how PhD students can find their niche in the world of bioethics and medical humanities.
Home to the nation’s first PhD in bioethics program, Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Bioethics includes scholars from philosophy, medicine, public health, nursing, the life sciences, law, social work, management, public policy, the social sciences, religious studies, and other areas, and has welcomed students from a variety of backgrounds. Faculty members have wide and unique areas of study, and mentoring students is a priority.
All students in the PhD program in bioethics gain interdisciplinary training to conceptualize, design, and conduct both normative ethical analysis and empirical research on bioethical issues.
