Members of the Case Western Reserve University community can attend a talk and Q&A session with Walter Hixson, a distinguished professor of history at the University of Akron. This event, titled “How the Israel Lobby Distorts the Palestinian Conflict,” will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center Senior Classroom.
Hixson will offer a historical perspective on the growth and development of the Israel lobby in the United States.
Hixson’s more recent book is titled Israel’s Armor: The Israel Lobby and the First Generation of the Palestine Conflict.
The Radical Student Union, Department of History, Department of Political Science, Social Justice Institute, Northeast Ohio Consortium for Middle East Studies, Jewish Voice for Peace Cleveland Chapter and Eyewitness Palestine Ohio Chapter will sponsor the event.
