“How Do We Use Clinical Informatics for the Identification and Treatment of Intimate Partner Violence?”

Scientists in the field of clinical informatics work toward improving the quality of care provided to patients by analyzing information collected by healthcare organizations.

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to a presentation titled “How Do We Use Clinical Informatics for the Identification and Treatment of Intimate Partner Violence?” Monday, March 6, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Gunnur Karakurt, a professor in the School of Medicine, will talk about their approach to analyzing clinical data, and creating models and tools to address intimate partner violence.

The MS in Systems Biology and Bioinformatics program offers a Translational Bioinformatics track and Karakurt’s research is an example of how computational approaches can be developed and used to discover treatments that target different patterns of intimate partner violence.

Register for this research talk.
