Homecoming’s not just for students and alumni—show your CWRU pride at the weekend’s events

Faculty and staff members play a vital role in the campus community—and, as such, are encouraged to attend events throughout Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. Faculty and staff can greet alumni and students as the community gets together to celebrate a common bond: Case Western Reserve University.

Homecoming and Reunion Weekend will kick off with the Blue Block Party Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. at Toby’s Plaza. Faculty and staff members are encouraged to wear Case Western Reserve University blue to represent their school or campus organization. President Barbara R. Snyder, colleagues and surrounding University Circle partners will attend Blue Block Party, which is considered to be the keynote event.

Even though it’s not a work day for most, come back to campus Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7 a.m. to participate in the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Homecoming 5K Race and 1-Mile Fun Run.

Cool down at the Parade Watch Party at 10:30 a.m., outside of the Linsalata Alumni Center. President Snyder, student organizations, Greek Life, cheerleaders and the Spartan Dance Team will join the parade festivities before the tailgate party at noon for the football game.

Faculty and staff are also encouraged to attend the 10th annual Stephanie Tubbs Jones Gospelfest Concert Celebration Sunday, Oct. 11, to conclude homecoming weekend.

Make sure to check out the homecoming event catalogue at case.edu/alumni/homecoming/ to learn of all events offered throughout the weekend.
