WKYC: John Grabowski, the Krieger-Mueller Joint Professor in History, and history student Sidney Negron, discussed one of the city’s first gay bars: the upscale Cadillac Lounge, which opened in 1946, serving straight clients during the day and gay men at night. “I mean, if the site could talk we’d have the best oral history we could ever find,” Grabowski said.
