History’s John Broich writes about British politician Nigel Farage’s visit to Cleveland

John Broich, associate professor of history, wrote about British politician Nigel Farage’s visit to Cleveland during the Republican National Convention.

In an article for The City Club of Cleveland titled “Farage in Cleveland,” Broich wrote about Farage’s role in leading the United Kingdom to leave the European Union.

While he was in Cleveland, Broich wrote, Farage explained the similarities between United Kingdom citizens in favor of leaving the union and Trump supporters.

Broich explained how both groups are made up of mostly non-elites who are trying to make their governments serve working people.
