The Social Justice Institute will be featured at the Western Reserve Historical Society’s “History on Tap: What’s Your Cause?” Thursday, Sept. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The event will focus on the history of organizing, community change and social enterprise.
Participants will reflect on periods of unrest in Cleveland at the event, which will feature stories, activities and crafts to make them think and consider:
- What’s your cause?
- What can you do to support issues that matter to you?
Attendees will draw inspiration from the places where past and present intersect in the fight for justice and equality.
Those in attendance will be able to participate in trivia, take a look at rarely seen artifacts, hear from special guests and try out hands-on activities.
There will be light hors d’oeuvres and happy hour libations (only for those 21+; non-alcoholic beverages will be available).
Tickets are $10 at the door, $7 in advance and $5 for Western Reserve Historical Society members.
The Social Justice Institute is offering free tickets for students. Call 216.368.7568 or email socialjustice@case.edu.
