Be among the first to experience Kelvin Smith Library’s art show titled “Cuba y Puerto Rico Son de un Pájaro las Dos Alas” (“Cuba and Puerto Rico Are the Two Wings of One Bird”) at an opening reception Friday, Sept. 15, from 3 to 6 p.m. on Kelvin Smith Library Oval.
The art show is part of Case Western Reserve University’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations.
The exhibit will feature local Latino artists Linda Ayala, Augusto Bordelois, Bruno Casiano, Elia Pastrana-Knight and Eldis Rodriguez. It will run Sept. 15–Oct. 15; exhibit hours will coincide with normal library facility hours.
All are invited to the reception, which will feature Grupo Kawakan, Cleveland’s premiere classic salsa band, at 4 p.m.
Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
Alianza Latina/Latino Alliance, CWRU’s community resource group, and La Alianza, a campus student organization, will sponsor the art show.
